Ingredients:
- 250 g Cauliflower
- 250 g Broccoli
- 150 g Bacon
- 500 ml Cheese Sauce (see my recipe here)
- 20 g grated Cheddar Cheese
Instructions:
- Cut the cauliflower and broccoli up into small-medium sized pieces.
- Boil until cooked, but still firm.
- Remove from heat and drain well (the cauliflower and broccoli should not be soggy).
- Slice bacon into short, thin strips and and fry in a pan until cooked (the bacon must be crunchy).
- Lightly smear a 20 cm x 20 cm (8 x 8 inch) oven safe bowl with butter.
- Gently mix the cauliflower, broccoli, bacon and cheese sauce in a bowl.
- Pour the mix into the oven safe bowl.
- Sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.
Servings: 4

Notes:
If you want to go meat-free you can omit the bacon.
Let the cauliflower and broccoli cool down before adding to the bowl. If the vegetables are still very hot (and especially if they have not been drained properly) the dish will be less firm and more runny.
Serving Suggestion:
This is ideal as a side dish (especially if the main dish is beef).
